Cell phone cameras are very sophisticated these days and you can take some excellent photographs with them, making your phone a very versatile device.  Here are just a few tips to help you take the best photos you can with your cell phone:

  • Light – camera phones need all the help they can get with lighting, so make sure the subject is in a well lit, but balanced setting.  Avoid taking photos with the sun or an artificial light directly in the frame as this can overpower the shot and distort the colors. Try and get a phone with a built in flash, as this will improve the light quality of your photographs a lot.
  • Close up – camera phones tend to have a low resolution and so do not deal well with big, vague images, so make sure you get up close to the subject, and pick the camera with the best resolution you can if you are going to take a lot of photos.
  • Stay Still – camera phones to not tend to have in built anti-shake functions, so make sure you keep very still when taking your shot to avoid to much blurring, and hold still long enough to allow for any ‘shutter lag’.
